Api’s Magic Miles
Apikaira (Api) Tiatoa Aka Theodore is a 65 year old Māori woman from Waimate North in Northland. She’s been living with cancer for over 50 years and is celebrating by walking 488km around Northland over 25 days to share her inspiration story of how she has kept cancer at bay and to promote healthy living.
While she walks the miles she will also be fundraising for Project Promise supported by a team of friends and whanau with Lions, Rotary & RSA clubs helping with collections and cheering her on. Api started her walk on 26th April and will cover 488 kilometres in 25 days.
